AC Repair Services › Free AC Inspection and Estimate
Free AC Inspection and Estimate in Sioux Falls, SD
Before we quote a repair, we need to know what is actually wrong — and what shape the rest of the system is in. Our inspection covers coils, blower, refrigerant charge, electrical components, and the thermostat. Nothing gets quoted until we have looked at all of it.

How It Works
Our Process for Free AC Inspection and Estimate
- 1
Schedule the Visit
Call (605) 231-9370 and we set a time that works. The inspection does not require anything from you except access to the indoor unit, outdoor unit, and thermostat.
- 2
Outdoor Unit Check
We inspect the condenser coils, fan, capacitor, contactor, and refrigerant line connections. We look for visible damage, corrosion, and signs of refrigerant loss.
- 3
Indoor Unit Check
We inspect the evaporator coil, blower motor, drain line, and air filter condition. Restricted airflow and dirty coils are among the most common causes of poor cooling.
- 4
Electrical and Controls Check
We test voltage and amperage at key components and check thermostat calibration. Electrical readings often show what is about to fail before it actually does.
- 5
Refrigerant Pressure Check
We check system pressure to evaluate refrigerant charge. Low pressure suggests a leak somewhere in the system and gets flagged immediately.
- 6
Written Summary
You get a written summary of what we found. If repairs are needed, we quote them separately. The inspection itself costs nothing.
What's included
- Full inspection of outdoor condenser unit including coils and electrical
- Full inspection of indoor air handler including blower and evaporator coil
- Refrigerant pressure check to assess charge level
- Thermostat function test and basic calibration check
- Written summary of findings with any repair recommendations noted
What's not included
- Duct inspection or air quality testing — those are separate services
- Any repair work — that is quoted separately after the inspection
- Refrigerant addition or leak testing beyond the pressure check
Real Situations
Common Scenarios in Sioux Falls
A couple in the west side of Sioux Falls just bought a home built in 2005 and the inspection report noted the AC was functional but older.
We inspect the full system and give them a realistic picture of its condition. That might mean it has several good years left, or it might mean a repair is coming soon. Either way, they know what they are dealing with before summer.
A homeowner near the downtown area was quoted a full system replacement by another company and wants to know if that is actually necessary.
We do our own inspection without any preconceived conclusion. If the system can be repaired cost-effectively, we say so. If the replacement quote was reasonable, we say that too.
A landlord with a rental property near Augustana University wants to check the AC before tenants move in for the summer.
We inspect the system and give a written report the landlord can keep on file. If anything needs attention before the season starts, we quote the repair separately.
Sioux Falls Context
Why this matters in Sioux Falls
Sioux Falls has a wide range of housing ages, from older bungalows near the city core to newer builds pushing out toward Harrisburg and Tea. Older homes often have systems that have never been properly serviced. Newer homes sometimes have systems that were installed quickly by builders and may have issues no one caught at startup. An inspection tells you where you actually stand.
Straight Talk
About pricing & scope
The inspection is free. If we find problems and you want us to fix them, that work is quoted before it starts. We do not pressure you to act on every finding immediately. Some issues are urgent, some are not, and we will be straight with you about which is which.
